Unit of Work ?

Hi All,
Project in which am, is under design phase. One of the problem v are facing is to maintain the ACID property. Problem is in one unit of work, there are multiple discreet sub-unit of work. If anyone discreet sub-unit fails, then the whole transaction has to roll back !
If someone has designed, would u pl share your experience.
