Will Great Plains handle the following situation:

I order goods in one unit of measure, recieve them into inventory as another unit of measure, I must take them out of the warehouse in another unit and then bill the goods and handle my inventory transactions in the same unit in which I recieved?

yes, as long as the unit of measures have a direct correlation to each other

base unit of measure is: Inch (stocking unit)

equivalents: Foot = 12 inch (for receiving and sales)
100Roll = 1200 inch (distribution)

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!

Also don't forget to assign a Default Selling UofM in Item Price List Maintenance and a Default Purchasing UofM in Item Purchasing Options Maintenance.
