I have a field lets call docnum

docnum
1a
2x
2x
2x
3v
3v

I would like to count the number of times each document number appears

eg

docnum

1a = 1
2x = 3
3v = 2
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Excellent Canidate for a crosstab query. Let the Crosstab "Gizzard" do it. It will make a totals Column, so you make the docnum the row heading. Coulour it Done!
