I will explain my setup first. We have win2K terminal server setup. My users log in to the terminal server and run GP6.0 from the session. We have forms printer installed to print some modified reports in crystal.

The problem is whenever one of my user prints this report ( crystal report ) on the screen and wants to export it, they click the export button. Nothing happens. Even if i log them out of GP and log in as DYNSA, same thing.

If i log into GP with administrator of the terminal server, still the same error.

If i log into terminal server with Domain Admin account and log into GP with any account, then the export works.
Clearly this has something to do with domain rights rather than GP security but can't figure out where and how.

I searched and searched but cannot find where to set rights for this particular export feature. There is a print button and print setup button next to export which work fine for all users, only this export button does not work. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks

Try giving the user accounts full control over the Crystal directory and the Crystal entries in the registry. If this works, then you can incrementaly decrease the security to them, until you find out what is needed.

Fact is i have not installed crystal on my terminal server. A small subset must have been installed by forms printer. I can't find it and dunno where the setting's are. THanks

We had 1 user who got the same issue last month and it started with having problems printing any reports from Forms Printer because the printer icon was missing. Then he also had problems exporting the reports to Excel. We didn't get any solutions from Microsoft, Citrix, Accountable and our vendor so we tried everything including deleting the user profile in Active Directory which somehow solved the problem.

I can't delete my users because every terminal server users has this problem and deleting them and adding them would be a nightmare. Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated. thanks
