What would be the best way to obtain a unique number (RMA Number) in a multi user environmet?


If two users are entering RMA's and I need to Assign a unique number, how do I keep users from grabbing the same number.

Thanks.

Well, the if you've got an Autoincrement/Identity field, then each insert will get a unique value, even in a multi-user environment.
