unique cd read problems 1

i have a liteon 40x burner that works fine. upgraded to liteon 52x burner and the cds burned from it wont read in my stereo. if they do only certain tracks play after display says the number of tracks on it. got replacement burner from liteon it does same thing. got another replacement from sony and the same result. put the 40x back in no problem it reads everywhere. im using musicmatch as the burn program from the playlist. has this every happenend before? im totally stumped.

Have you tried another brand of media? Slow the recording speed down, also.

thanks for answering jim yes ive done everything you mentioned still no luck. ive put the older burner back and it burns fine with sony cds. i burn at 32x with 40x no problems. the funny thing is that they play in all amy comp truck car just not in home system.

Do you have the latest version of Musicmatch:

Also, have you tried it with Nero that comes with the burner?

hey jim thanks again yes same result with nero. yes have latest musicmatch checked all drivers etc im going nuts over this problem. musicmatch is on 2nd hd drive f. maybe ill delete it and reinstall? any help would be appreciated thanks again

I had a similar problem that was a bad batch of CD-Rs, but you said you tried a different brand. I've run out of ideas.
Some older CD players have trouble with playing CD-Rs. How old is the player?

thanks jim after a number of hours trying to figure it out i called the maker of the players it seems that there is an adjustment that has to be done to the lens. thanks for your help. pete
