Uniprocessor Hal and Kernal

Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 6a. Compaq 1600 6/500, adding second 500mhz processor using the Compaq Server Support and Setup. The "Uniprocessor Hal and Kernal has been installed. When I choose the "upgrade" option I get the following error. "This feature is currently not supported under the service pack that is installed on the system". Any suggestions?

Hi doubleJ, please look at the FAQs on this page and look at the Multiprocessor upgrade for the servers and try those steps. If you are currently doing exactly what has been written down, please tell me at what exact point do you get the errors.
Did you purchase the same type of processor with the same speed, cache and stepping factor.
Please Get back to me with these answers.
