Does anyone have a good step by step?
I want to completely remove windows from my machin to install RedHat. I uninstalled windows before but have always had little problems...
is the redhat cd bootable? if so, could i format my hd and boot with the redhat cd in and go from there?

or is there a better way????

The easiest way to tackle this is to boot from the Redhat CD.

set your bios to boot from it directly and someway into the setup process you can use disk druid to sort out your partitions (ie wipe the WIN98 partition)

pretty simple really...

before you go and do this get as much information about all your hardware as possible, either from manuals or from Device Manager

Hope this helps

If the system is newer, you should have no problems. Just stick in the redhat cd, boot it up and away you go. No hassles at all any more.
