Hi

Is there a quick and easy way to remove gateways off CM?

Cheers

I found some good tips in other posts, and took some notes the last time I removed an LSP and Gateway. Hope this helps.

Code:
1) Turn TTI off
2) clear media-gateway programming
	a.list config media-gateway x (see what’s programmed)
	b. remove announcements (if any)
	c. remove trunk
	d. remove signal group
	e. remove DS1
	f. remove toll/ars location entries
	g. remove route patterns
3) remove survivable-processor (node-name) and remove LSP
4) change ip-network-region X
	a. remove location info from tab 2 on every location
5) change node-names ip
	a. delete entry for location
6) Shutdown LSP
	a. Log in to server and shutdown server (uncheck restart after shutdown)
	b. Unregister Gateway(s)
		i. Unplug gateway (or patch cord) or telnet in to the gateway and:
			1. Log in as root
			2. # show mgc list
			3. # clear mgc list
			4. # copy running-config startup-config
			5. Reboot gateway
7) Remove media-gateway X
8) Remove Location
	a. change locations and blank out entry
9) Turn TTI back on

Cheers

The issue here is the gateways are not used as Gateways in the trus sense......merely a way of providing an analogue line at remote sites! When these remote sites close the networks guys remove the kit and just unplug the gateways and ship them to us.

New here and want to tidy up what I'm looking after, I'm guessing I'll have to put the gateways back on the network first.
