I wanted to move my WSS 2.0 to a new server housing WSS 3.0. So I thought I would upgrade the website to 3.0 than backup and move. The server is Windows 2003 R2 all updated and patched.

That went well. Then I decided I did not need WSS 3.0 on the original machine for space reasons. So I uninstalled. Well that removed my entire Default Website, which housed CertServ, OWA and all of the Exchange webs.

Now I am uncertain what is the best course of action.

Reinstall WSS 3.0 and then retrieve files from backup? What files would I need exactly? The contents of C:\Inetpub\?

Or can I reinstall the certserv website and then the Exchange/OWA websites? By that I mean uninstalling and reinstalling parts of the setups?

Sincerely, Punchy
