Hi, it's me again! :)

How can I uninstall whole ML packages?
I have upgraded from 5200-02 to 5200-06 and have recievd strange problems with my communication.

So, how do I do to uninstall all ML back down to 5200-02?

With installp? But then I have to know all the single filesets in each ML packages?

The best is to restore from your mksysb,
You did perform a mksysb when you upgraded to ML5 right?

Anyone else who can help me uninstall?
It is a production server and I can't see when I can take it down to restore an mksysb.

If they are applied but not committed you can back it out.

mksysb restore or reinstall the base fileset and then apply any ML you want. mksysb would be much easier and faster.

My AIX5.2 production servers are on 5200-05.

You might want to check in detail which filesets are perhaps still missing for your ML06

instfix -ick 5200-06_AIX_ML|grep -v ':=:'

This would give you all filesets which are not exactly at their designated level for 5200-06. If you see :-: that tells you a fileset is still at a lower level. A :+: tells you a fileset is at a more recent level. Perhaps that may give you a clue.

You did reboot the machine after applying ML 06?

You might want to call in AIX support - perhaps there is a fix for the problem you are experiencing?
