How can I uninstall SQL Server 6.5? I mean really clean out the registrty and everything. Is there a simple way to do this?

Issue: I want to keep just the OS on the hard drive C: and load SQL 6.5 to run from let's say the E: drive (where the drive has been set up with lots of storage.

Please help, I need to do this quickly.

Thanks in advance!!!

Christine

Go to MSSQL setup from the start button. Follow the prompts till you get to about the third screen where you can uninstall. I have been running into problems where previous installations of SQL will interfere with current. It seems that the registry is not purged like you want. The best solution that I have found is Fdisk. Even selecting to format from a Winnt instal does not do a clean enough job. Sorry could throw a better bone to ya. 'Luck
