uninstall service pack 1 from IE6

How would I uninstall the service pack for IE6? I am running XP Tablet edition which came with IE 6 SP1 preinstalled. Need to lose the service pack to run an application at work. thanks.

Does it not show under Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs?

A word of caution...I would be very careful in messing with IE on an XP machine.

No. It does not appear under Add/Remove programs. Also, XP sp1 is also not removable via add/remove programs. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Apply the 2-2-2004 IE hotfix.

Then report back with exactly the application that is objecting, and exactly why.

Applied the patch as suggested. IE 6.0 SP1 still is not an option under add/remove programs. Any other ideas? thanks!
