uninstall norton antivirus 2003?

hey,

i allways got a 1004,1 error in norton antivirus, so the website of symantec suggests i uninstall norton antivirus and delete some files. I cant uninstall norton antivirus, but I can't delete the extra files because they are used in windows. How can I kill those processes so i can delete the files?

ps: i allready tried task manager but it gives a "access denied" error.

Have you tried doing it in safemode? When you boot into safemode windows starts with a minimal processes running.

If that doesn't help you might be able to use a tool called kill.exe whith which you can kill process based on their pid number.
