I was dumb enough to upgrade to 7.0 when windows asked me. But I really hate it and want to go back to 6.0. I tried to go to add/remove, but I don't see the Internet Explorer to remove (it's just not there).
How can I downgrade IE to 6.0?
Thanks.

Windows Internet Explorer can be removed from Add & Revmove programs.

As "Smah" indicates it is listed in Add or Remove as "Windows Internet Explorer".

What don't you like about IE7? Is it just one or two things that might be fixed via different Settings, or is it everything? Many people just don't like IE and use a non-Microsoft browser.

Before you worry too much about IE, why don't you try Firefox (google it..it's free) which is faster and much handier for almost everything (won't ftp for me, but that's about all). I keep Explorer for the one or two things (like MS update) for which it's useful, but don't even have it o n the desktop any more.

I haven't tried it yet, but I am told Opera is even better.

I believe the removal if IE7 actually does a rollback.
It should be listed under add/remove, Show updates should be checked.
I use ie7 as backup to install updates and such, but mostly I use Firefox.

'Show Updates' does not need to be checked to see the final version of IE7 in Add & Remove Programs. (Only the early Beta builds required this).
