Hi;
I recently installed the latest version of the freeware program EasyCleaner, from ToniArts. I have used the older version for some time, and it worked reasonably well for cleaning registry entries, not too vigilent, but okay. The new version has more bells and whistles and I was optimistic. I've run all the clean up programs, including; Regisrty Cleaner, IE temp files, cookies, History, and MRU. When I checked, it hadn't cleared or cleaned anything, and found no invalid items in my registry. I tried a few times with the same result. Thinking that it was a bust I then tried to remove using the Windows uninstall program. A dialogue box titled "Istall Shield Wizard" comes up with this message:
"Set up has experienced an error. Please do the following:
- close any running programs
- empty the temp folder
- check the internet connection
then try to run set-up again."
Never seen this before, and after having done all the above, it still persists.
Any ideas or thoughts on both the program (EasyCleaner), and the problem.
Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance
