I have a customer that the services keep stopping every week. There doesn't seem to be any cause, just randomly once a week he has to go into the services and restart them. Has anyone else seen this before or have any ideas as to why it wold be happening?

no idea why it stops but maybe if you go into the service and then the recovery tab make the first 2 restart service and see if it helps.

I'll second what kwing112000 suggested. Right click on the service and choose the Recovery tab. Use the drop-down menu to select "Restart the Service".

You could also force the Subsequent failures field to auto restart, but by that time, it may be worth really troubleshooting this rather than simply restarting.

Is there anything interesting in the Event Viewer that might shed some light on this problem?
