I have two PCs running Outlook 2003 and Unified Messaging. Everything works great, providing the VPN link back to my main office is up. If this link goes down and Outlook is started it fails to load. Outlook (I presume) is waiting for the UM client to establish a connection to the BCM. There is no timeout value that I can locate in the UM client. Does anyone know how I could fix this? Hanging Outlook forever (or at least until the VPN is back up) is a terrible design flaw.
