Has anyone ever installed unified messaging on a MAC machine. Or even better can anyone confirm that it will work.

To my understanding, Nortel is not compatible nor supported on MAC machines. I've never heard of such a marriage of technologies.

I thought I read somewhere that the unified messaging was compatible with eudora.

It's compatible with Eudora on the PC platform. Unfortunately Nortel elected to not recognize that there are other platforms out there besides Windows that may want to use UM.

I had a customer who was an all mac shop, and he created a standard IMAP connection that logged into the BCM mailbox in question and retrieved the messages. We then loaded up the Macintosh VBK player (from the CSE/Meridian "MyCallPilot" server), and all was well. I don't recall what email platform he was using though.

Kind of a workaround, but it worked fairly well. Couldn't reply to a message that way, but it could be forwarded via email to another user.

This is a customer that is a design house and surprise, surprise good old sales yes yes yes. Ask question later.

Me No but will confirm by checking the books and notes.
Again I had thought of the IMAP work around.

If I know are sales guys they will have sold the whole package lan cte,UM and fax messaging.

And I will be arriving on site to find the customer all excited about the features they can not have.

I should have been a sales man.

Where would I locate the player that allows VBK files to be played on a Mac??

Has anyone made any more progress in getting voicemail to play on an apple without the unified messaging client?
