Hello-
I'm really hoping someone can help me out.. I've been setting up a Merlin Messaging system for a client of mine (until this point i had very limited experience with Avaya systems).
I've gotten the System admin software and the unified Messaging application setup and installed, but my problem is actually getting it to send voicemails to an e-mail address using the SMTP service (they do not have Exchange). I've entered in what is explained in the guide (enter in the DNS settings and enter in a mail server), but I do not see any option under the users mailbox to enter anything but an e-mail address.
How is this supposed to authenticate with a SMTP server if you cannot enter a password for the e-mail address?
I'm not sure what more information anyone might need to help me out, but I'll keep an eye on this thread and I can give any additional info that is necessary.
Thanks in advance for anyone able to offer some assistance (Avaya hasn't been much so far)
