I've heard that you can have unified messaging on the Call Pilot 100. Is this true? Because most site info regarding CP100 states "not available". I have a friend who says he's done it. I don't want to purchase it, if it can't be done. I know that you must buy the key codes first.

Even though your issue is moot since you have 2.0 software, the CP100 1.5 from what I understand cannot do Unified Messaging.

Consulting -
"If You're Not A Part Of The Solution, There's Good Money To Be Made In Prolonging The Problem."

The built-in help file on our Call Pilot 150 Release 2.1 says:

"CallPilot Desktop Messaging is available for CallPilot 100/150. If you use Business Communications Manager, the Unified Messaging option is available."

"With CallPilot Desktop Messaging subscribers can access their CallPilot mailbox from their personal computer. Subscribers can manage all of their voice messages in one graphical interface. They can still access their mailbox from their telephone at any time."

But, just to confuse us, there are two Unified Messaging keycode authorization numbers in the box the Call Pilot shipped from Nortel in. Maybe they really are for Desktop Messaging and they sort of use the terms interchangeably?

My documentation for 1.5 states unified messaging is for CP150 only. ?? What say you all?

PhM

Arr- my docs say the same thing (1.5 says it is for 150 only.) My version 2 docs say for 100 or 150. Maybe it would work on a R1.5 CP100- I never tried.

BK,

I'm just about set to try this on a CP100 of the first release. Glad I caught this thread. I may have to upgrade them to 2.0. Ooops!

Cheers

i think it is because of the size of the flashcard, that nortel did not support the applications in the 100 platform( it is just email integration and no fax)

the software for 100/ 150 is the same - ie you can take a flash card from cp100 and install in 150 and it works and vice versa as well.

senks,

So are you saying that in an original release of CP100 unified messaging will work but only for Email not fax too but in Rls 2.x both will work?

PhM

FAX is not supported on 100 or 150.
Unified messaging is supported as of 2.0 on the CP100
