Hi All

We run lync 2010 and Exchange 2010.
We have enabled unified messaging for about 200 users with no issues except for one user.
If you ring from external number and it goes to voice mail you get the greeting from the user and get asked to leave message after the tone, but tone never comes and you cant leave a message.
You get asked a couple of times if you are still there then it says there must be a problem and hangs up.

Have checked settings against working users all seems fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions where to stop looking please.

Cheers Greg

Do you get the same results when a Lync user calls this same account? Is this reproducable 100% of the time for this account or is it hit and miss?

100% of the time whether call is from external caller or Lync user call.
Interestingly you can select in Lync to go directly to voice mail and then you can leave a message.

If you just start talking after you hear "after the tone leave a message...." for about 30 seconds or so then hand up the call, does the user get a voicemail? If so, it sounds like the "tone" being played is not heard on the other end. If the user does not get any voicemail, then you might check the logs (may need to increase UM logging) to see what might be the issue.

Thanks texeric
Haven't got back to this yet, will let know how we get on.
