Hi,

I have installed the Unified Maintenance Console on my (Windows XP) laptop. This all works fine until I come to connect. I select USB and enter the password and it returns with “EA04201 Driver soft not found”. I have tried re-installing the software and another (XP) laptop but to no avail. How can I resolve this issue?

Many thanks,

the problem is with the usb driver software sometimes after installing the system cant find the usb drivers

plug usb cable in then go to add new hardware in the list pick the unknown device and point to the location you saved the usb drivers to when you were installing the system software if you didnt get the option to save the usb drivers when installing you will have to uninstall completly and start again.

Thanks Rivet. That sorted it up to a point! Now it comes back with "EA04203 Cannot open USB port". When I checked the devices there was no problem reported.

Thanks in anticipation,

this is also the same fault for some reason the usb drivers are not being reconised by the software when you were installing the software were you given a option to save the usb drivers?
if so did you create a folder for them ( i always setup a folder called Panasonic directly at the C: root before installing the main software then when asked if i want the usb drivers i just have to pick panasonic from the c: drive

when you plug into the phone system does it see the system as a panasonic PBX?

If I go to "My Computer", "Device Manager" KX-TDA30 appears under "Other Devices". Is there something I should do here? For instance should it be appearing on the "My Computer" screen?

does it have an ! inside of a yellow triangle to the left of it?

Sorry for delay in replying, been out of office over weekend. There is an "!" in a small yellow circle overlaying it (had to change display setting to confirm this!).

Thanks and regards,

this tells you the driver has a problem
you will have to reinstall

Hi,

I have reinstalled a number of times all to no avail. With regard to the drivers I have tried saving them to various locations (including the Desktop, C:\\Panasonic, C:\\programs\Panasonic, the appropriate sub-directory, etc...). What can I try next?*!

It is an old Asus W5000 running Windows XP (2002) with Service Pack 2. 1.73GHz with 496Gb RAM.

if your sute the usb port is ok the only thing i can think of is the software version you have is newer than the system the usb drivers changed a couple of times with newer versions thus the reason we had to select modifif files every time the system version changed so my question is this is the software you have the version that came with system or did you get it at a later time

Tried another PC (desktop) and it works fine now. The laptop is a "second user" item and I now think may have been messed around. Thanks for all your help and advice.
