Unified Communicator Mobile (formerly ME) precense issue

Im running MCD 10.0.2.8 and have a MAS 2.0 server with UC mobile loaded on it (ver 2.0.22). I noticed within the last week that precense on the phone stopped working when you answer the call on your cell phone. Nothing has changed configuration wise except maybe an upgrade. has anyone else notice an issue with this?
 
Well I found the answer to my own question.

So in the new version of mobile ext or UC mobile (whatever you want to call it), Your desktop line monitor is incorporated into a personal ring group. After this happens, you no longer have the feature where you can press your prime lime to pull the call back. There is now a **8 that needs to be pressed in order to handoff the call much like the EDHU process. But if you are an external hot desk user, the handoff key is a 5. Didnt anyone think this through
 
sounds like a left hand not knowing the right hand type issue.

Ok so I got everything working correctly, and now that it is working I have come to the conclustion that the only benefit you get with UC mobile vs EDHU is that:

1. the option to have a mobile client app on your cellphone

2. The ability to turn the service on and off via schedule.

Other than that the 2 are pretty much the same af far as I can see.

If you dont need that, why buy the UC mobile server and all the UC mobile licenses?
