Hi

Can someone help me and explain me how to use real Unicode in the data of Prolog. I have 3 Prolog versions, named in the order of importance for me, installed (today, also the actual version of each, Ciao is the version of Ubuntu Gutsy with the libc6 2.6-1) in my Debian Etch partition:

- Ciao Prolog

- Gnu Prolog

- Swi Prolog

with the objective to use Prolog to build language dictionaries for languages also with completely different writing as Hindi written in Devanagari letters or Russian or Greek or Arabic or phonetic alphabet.

The more pratical way would be to enter the texts using adequate foreign language keyboard layouts. But I would be also interesting to commute to the view in numeric unicode code for example to translate automatically names from an European language into far east language etc although this point of view is not really very important (but can decide the choice of the used software).

Tank you for your help.

Bye
