Unicode / Japanese characters in PS

I am trying to add a Japanese disclaimer to an existing PS document.

I know a little bit about multi-byte character encodings, unicode. I know enough PostScript to get by...

So my question is, what do I have to do to get Japanese or generic Unicode text into a document? Ultimately I am trying to generate PS that I am converting to PDF with Distiller.
