Good day!

I have composed my first flash MX which loads data from an external file. The external file is encoded in unicode (UTF-8) format and it contains Chinese text. Well, when running the flash on Windows2000 or WindowsXP platform which could display the Chinese text nice and clear. However, it didn't work on Win98 platform.

So, how can Win98 show the text in the external file successfully?

Thanks in advance.

Have you enabled unicode support in Win98?

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Hi tviman,

Thanks for your suggestion. However, I won't be able to check all the users whose OS is Win98 and whether they have enabled unicode support. As the flash will be published in internet.

And I just wonder unicode is universal therefore should suit all OS platform. Any other advice on this matter?

Not all platforms support unicode as a default and therefore is subject to user change.
