Problem:
Unicast 32-bit routes are being added to the routing tables of Microsoft workstations and servers.

Operating systems:
Win98, WinNT 4.0 workstation, WinNT 4.0 server, WinXP professional, Win2K server.

Comments:
Network captures do NOT show ICMP redirects being received by the workstations and servers. Does anyone know why the Microsoft TCP/IP stack might add routes to the routing table without receiving redirects ?

Thanks.

It's Microsoft, that should be enough of an answer.....
