Unic BasketID

hi everybody! i have a very critical problem on my site...
I have a deadline and that deadline is new years eve... =( and i'm stuck! i have to figure out how to give every custumer an unic basket id so every body has it's own shoppingbasket. And i want it to work like this:

When a costumer clicks on the button "Add to basket" they will automaticly will be givven a basketID that will be stored in my database in my table "Basket" (A MS Access database).

Can anyone help me with this? i know that James already help me a bit with this before but i need more help!

i forgot to say that i also want the basekt id to be stored in a coockie so if the customer already has a basketid the costumer will have the same basket id again. thanx in advace.

If you use an autonumber as the BasketID, when you insert a row into the table then the new BasketID will be generated for you.
