Observing a really really wierd phenomena.

When communicating back and forth between lotus notes and someone who has outlook, the longer the email thread, the larger the font gets.

for example. I send someone an email from lotusR5 client to outlook client. the client could be internal or external. The font is in 12 point. They reply. Their reply is in 12 point, the history is in 16point. I reply to their reply. When they receive it, my reply is in 12 point, the second thread down is in 16 point, and the 3rd thread is in 24 point.

This goes on and on, until the font is so large that is makes the message unreadable.

why, why, why, and how to fix????

Sounds like Outlook is doing a size job in its reply.
Do you have any way of checking user preferences on the Outlook client ?

Pascal.

yes, i am able to do that - what should I look for? Actually, right now our office has people on both, so I can see each client.

Is the Outlook client processing the mail sent as Internet Default, or as Outlook default ?
Microsoft's default is, funnily enough, not really compatible with Internet standard as defined by W3C. If Outlook is not using the appropriate standard, that might make for issues.

Pascal.

where in the outlook client would i find that setting to determine the answer to your question?

I don't know, I would guess in File/Preferences, if that exists. I don't use Outlook.
