Unexpected Termination

Intel Celeron processor
64MB memory
6 GB hard drive 2 partitions c:4GB d:2GB
OS Win98se
When I try to load MS Anti-Spyware Beta or Executive Software Diskeeper Lite I get the following message:
Unexpected Termination with an OK button. Pressing ok gives the following message:
The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.

If anyone has encountered this could you give me a pointer on how to get these programs loaded.

Microsoft Antispyware Beta is not made for Win98:
