Unexpected shutdown on Domain Controller..

Hey all, i'm combing through Event Viewer now but last night our DC unexpectingly rebooted. I only realized this when I logged in remotely and it asked me for a reason. Are there any better log viewers/tracing apps that I can use to see what happened before that moment. There were no power outages and only a tape backup was in progress at that time, so I'm concerned as to what caused the reboot.

Usually an un-expected reboot is caused by a hardware related issue such as power supply, or the motherboard detected a failing part and initiated a reboot. Don't know what make/model of server you have but you check logs on your remote mgmt console (RSA-2, RILOE/ILO, ILOM)
