I just recently installed microsoft office 2000 and proceeded to try to install all of the issued updates that microsoft puts up on their update site. This problem is that after I install the first critical update available (critical update service pack 1), which by the way installs without error, whenever I go to open a microsoft office program (outlook, word, excel, frontpage) the program will open properly, and then within 10 to 25 seconds it will unexpectedly exit. There are no error messages that accompany these exitings. Unfortunately I could not solve this problem by reinstalling microsoft office or windows.
The computer this is running on is a Dell Dimension XPS P2 333mhz. machine running 196MB ram and a 10/100 3com etherlink card. Currently this computer is running windows 2000 pro.
Anyone with a suggestion to how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Sam
