Unencrypt data

A User encrypted some files on our old network and didnt unecrypt them before we migrated to a new domain.

Recently he noticed that he can no londer unencrypt his old files and mentioned it to us. We had no idea he did this to begin with.

Is there anything out there that can open these for us?
