Is it possible to undo an update someone did on my SQL database without having to restore the table from last nights backup and losing all of today's work?

If you have the transaction log from the time that the update occurred and "lumigent log explorer " you could read the log and undo the transaction.

OK. That's an option...
Can I restore the database to a new database, then restore the log file to a particular time?
Can I restore the database to a new database, then restore the log file to a particular time?

Yes you can do that too. (if you have the db backup and log from that time.) the only thing to consider is data integrity. If you are just going to restore one table back before the update how is that going to affect the related tables?
