How can I get << Undisclosed-Recipient >> in the TO field when I send e-mail to a groups of persons whose addresses are in the BCC field.

I have received e-mail addressed to Undisclosed-Recipient!

If I add recipients in the BCC field and keep TO and CC fields empty, the TO field defaults to my e-mail address and I want it to read << Undisclosed-Recipient >>

Thanks

What mail client are you using? Most (but maybe not all)will put 'undisclosed recipient' if the To & CC fields are empty. See also thread68-941589

Hello Smah!

I am using Outlook 2000

Thanks
Mickey

Very odd. I just tested this and indeed you are correct. Outlook 2000 does send messages as To: your primary e-mail adddress.

If you want to use Outlook 2K, you'll need to create an address in your address book with a name like 'undisclosed recipients' that has your email address. Then, put your 'undiclosed recipients' address in the To: field, and the rest in the BCC: field. The only other alternative is to use a different mail client - I'm fairly sure that OE does the undisclosed recipients thing the way you expect.

Thanks Smah!

That is certainly the next best option. I wished clicking on the properties would not display my e-mail address but just << Undisclosed Recipient >>

Thanks again for your time

Mickey
