Understanding the shortage report: how do you get the figures?

Hi,

i am using MAcola 7.8.

I am trying to understand the shortage report and how it derives the final figures.

1. Open Sales Order

LESS Finished goods available (both allocated and unallocated?)

= Material required

2. From material required

- Stock balance (both allocated and unallocated? or just unallocated?)

- incoming material (open PO)

= material shortage (recognised in material shortage report)

Can any1 comment on this?
