A long time ago, Symantec Antivirus v8 (now v10) was deployed but NOTHING was documented. It quickly became a mess and knowledge was lost in time. So i'd like, for a start, to document what and how components were installed and how they work together.
I'll have to start from scratch and try some reverse engineering process and i was wondering if there were any web ressources or forum that can help me to understand the technical aspects of SAV topology (parent servers, certificats, central deployment of virus def, admin console, communication flows between servers, licensing, ...)
For information, i'm only investigating servers installation. There is a mix of Windows 2000 and 2003 (some of them are Lotus Notes server)
