Hi Guys,

I'm having problems with placing a chart on the right hand side of a report. I know of the underlay function, but my chart should be spread out from the report header, through the details to the report footer(the only place I seem to be allowed to add the sum total of the table on the left side). Unfortunately, crystal report won't allow me to stretch my chart over to the report footer. How can I solve this problem? You see there are only 2 datasets in my table so the chart looks very small if it is limited in this way.
Thanks in advance.

The chart has to be physically contained in one section.
To get the desired effect you want, place the chart on the right side of the report header.
Now, go to Report menu, Section Expert.
Highlight Report Header, and set the property "Underlay Following sections"

I've done that!! The problem is, that the chart can only go down as far as the detail goes down. Which means, that if you have 2 Datasets, like I have, the height of the chart is limited to the report header, where the chart is placed and the details. After the detail section comes the page footer where the summaries are placed!
I just don't understand why its such a problem to be able to pull the chart down to the report footer!!??

One solution would be to place the chart in the report header or footer and then insert an unlinked subreport and place it next to the chart. This way you could get all sections appearing next to the chart.
