Undeliverable messages freeze Outlook

Can anyone please help

I have users who connect to an Exchange 2000 server over a firewall.

When users send an e-mail and if it comes back as undeliverable the message freezes outlook and they can no longer read any e-mails, even rebooting the PC as soon as they go in to outlook it freezes.

I have to go in to there mailbox on my PC and delete the undeliverable meassage and then they can work ok.

I had a somewhat similar problem when the non-deliverable had a file attachment so big it was choking Outlook. Is this for all bouncebacks, or just certain ones?
