Undeliverable e mail results in address wiped from autofill

I often get "undeliverable message" when I sent to a valid e mail address because of file size. When the undeliverable notification comes back to my inbox, the addressee's email address is removed from my auto-fill. Is there any to toggle that off so that it doesn't do that. I have looked and looked and searched this site but to no avail.
