Good morning.

I am at my wits end with this. I'm not sure what is causing it, but it is becoming very common whenever I open a report, and I am also getting it when I try to create a new blank report. I am new to Actuate. We do use a keymaster for our user ID and pw.

I am getting this error when I try to run the reports:

Basic Error: 1011 Module: C:\Program Files\Actuate8\eRDPro\afc\db.bas Line: 194 Database Error 2: Error generated by the connected data source ... -204: [SQL State] 42S02: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0204N "ABCDEF.CONTACTS" is an undefined name. SQLSTATE=42704 Do you want to debug?

where ABCDEF is the user name, not the DB name. Any ideas of where to start?

Thanks!

Actuate reports the error returned by the database when Actuate tried to run the SQL.
Please run the SQL independently using any other SQL tool. I think you will get the same error.

If you have used the Actuate Query Builder to build the query, see whether the select columns are correctly qualified.

You have said that whenever you open a blank report you get this error. It seems the blank report has a default connection to DB2 with a default SQL attached to it. Is my assumption correct?

Thanks... that worked, it runs, now I guess I have to re-insert all the fields again. I had to convert it to textual, but at least it runs.

One question is - my coworkers (who happen to be the original team and are located in another state) can open this no problem, without making any kind of alterations. What would cause that? is there a setting that causes my install of Actuate to require it to be different from them? I'm also concerned about it messing up the reports for them to view, and the time it will take to convert them all to textual and then add the qualifier in to each SQL query.

Thanks again. I was beginning to think that I was going to have a permanent headache here and I'd have to move.
