I have an Access 2000 application running on my desktop machine. I moved the application to a laptop and am getting the following error message:

"Undefined function 'UCase' in expression".

Since this application is running correctly on my desktop, I believe this may be a configurtion problem.

The application was originally an Access 97 application. I converted it to Access 2000. The laptop has only Access 2000 installed.

Any ideas on what causes "Undefined function" error?

Thank you.

Hi

Probably a missing Referenece to an object library

Open any code module or open the debug window

Chose Tools \ Options

Look for any reference which is selected (ie has tick) and has missing in the text

Uncheck it, look down the list for a similar name (probably) with a different version no, and select it

Ken,

You are right on the money. Utility.mda was shown as "Missing". It exists in a subdirectory where the application is stored

However, I checked "Microsoft DAO 2.5/3.5 Compatibilty Library".

Thank you for your most expert help.
