I've been through every post I can find, all over the web, and have been unable to locate a solution. I have the dreaded "undefined function error" in a query (Access 2000 on an XP machine). I've experienced this with several functions and I'm getting tired of writing the functions myself. I've checked all the references, none are missing. I've unchecked and rechecked references, compiled ad nauseum. I've replaced references, I've repaired and compacted, I've created new databases and imported objects. Does anyone have any other solution? Thanks for your help!

Have you re-installed access? RosieB mentions in a post that she found two particular libraries conflicted with one another, perhaps it is that?

Hi,

Can you use the same function anywhere else? If not, you may need to reload the application.

How are ya SunGodly . . .

Just a guess at this point but if the query is used as the [blue]RecordSource[/blue] for a form its possible in the following way:

With a query as the recordsource when you open a form the query runs first, then the form is opened. If by chance the function references a control on the form it fails because the form isn't opened yet!

Thanks for the tips. I'm pretty sure I've uninstalled and reinstalled before, as this has been a recurring problem -- I've been writing workarounds so long that I can't remember. I've experienced it with the Nz function as well as the Roundup function, and I'm sure there have been others.

Anyway, it is a very basic query that doesn't reference a form, so I know that's not the problem. I've seen a ton of answers for this but none have worked, although some appear to work for some people...? Any other thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
