Uncleared old Checks & Deposit Tickets

I am looking at a database that has not been maintained. I went to Account Reconciliation screen and found numerous uncleared deposit tickets. The tickets are in the Reconciliation screen, but not on the deposit ticket report or the Select for Deposit screen. Does anyone know how to clear them? I also have a similar problem with old uncleared checks going back several years. Thanks for your help or any suggestions.[ponder]
