Hi
I have a problem
When I use webclass to talk to a Business Rule Component (DLL) and the component tries to access a template in a network dir using a UNC path, an error message of INVALID PATH and NOT FOUND is returned. Is this a restriction on IIS APPLICATIONS? Anyone have any idea?
Thanks

Hi,

I saw your post just today, but perhaps you are still looking for an answer.

It shouldn't be a problem to access network resources from a webclass or from a dll called by a webclass. I've done this myself many times.

So the problem probably has got something to do with restrictions and network rights. Do you use anonymous access on your webpage? In that case IIS will use the Iusr_unknown account on the IIS machine to identify itself. Probably this user will not have enough rights to perform the tasks you want it to do.

If you have integrated windows authentication switched on, IIS identify's itself with the credentials of the visitor.

Hope it helps!
