I am new to Access so this might seem simpleton to most. I have an unbound text box that I put a calculated value in that will change as the user makes other changes on the form. But I would also lile to save this data to the same table that the rest of the form is bound to. What is the best way to do this?
Thanks for the help!

Because that data can be used for reports, etc later.

sturner,
What Craig says normally makes sense. You usually do not save calculated data, unless there is a lot of overhead to calculate those values and they are not going to change.
You can do calculations in a query or inside a control. So if you can calculate it on a form you can calculate it on a control.
If however, it is an involved calculation that you would like to use in many places then build a user defined function that returns the calculation. From a form, report, or query you can pass this function the values in the control. Sometimes your function may be pages of code, but to call it from anywhere is easy.
