Not sure if this is the correct forum but lets try....

I have recently changed some of our computer systems.... They came preloaded with Win2000 SP4. I have a Sharp AR-407 Copier/Digital Imager(scanner) Now when the software loads I get the following error

Unbable to start application - Java Virtual Machine cannot be loaded

Class not Registered

I was told to download the latest version of VM from Sun as microsoft can not support this anymore. I have and still get the same errors.

Sharp has not yet responded to either me or the dealer.

Any Ideas?

Go into internet options either through your browser or through control panel and go into advanced settings and make sure all your java stuff is checked off...then reboot.

I have checked this out and there is only one box for Jave and it is checked.

I still have not solved this problem... Any other suggestions?

Todd

Uninstall Java - go to Sun and install a fresh copy?

I have done that (but can always try it agian...)

You apply the 3809 "Upgrade", it will install even if there is no MSJVM. Then you truely "Upgrade" to 3810.
I am sorry if that was not clear.

It told me I couldnt use it because there was not a version of MSJVM loaded.
It works that is all I care about... Now our machines can be scanned to .... Interesting that it has been 3 weeks and Sharp has not responded to me! I will have to contact our dealer and tell him how to fix the problem as he hasnt seen it yet.
