Does anyone know how I can use an answer file to specify the partition I want to install Windows XP on?

C:\Custom Utility software
D:\ <--- want to install XP here unattended.

Cheers

With NT is could be done using the winnt.exe /T:D: parameter. This was intended as a path for temp files but in reality it installed the OS in the same partition. Not sure if it still works that way for XP but worth a try.

Run winnt /?

/t[:tempdrive]
Directs Setup to place temporary files on the specified
drive and to install Windows 2000 on that drive. If you
do not specify a location, Setup attempts to locate a drive for you.

You can use TargetPath in the answer file to specify folder to install into.
