We have a backup scheduled to run at 8:00pm every night in unattended mode. It backs up to disk fine, but when it comes time to write to tape, it prompts for a specifically labeled tape i.e.ISMDATA0014 and waits until the next morning when we manually run the backup. We have tried formatting and renaming the tapes, but this did not correct the problem. The tapes that it prompts for are in no sequencial order or logical pattern. We even tried creating a new job on the same schedule. The tape device is completely operational and the drivers are correct. Any suggestions of where to troubleshoot next?
